Getting Started

Test Preparation

First and foremost, you need to know that currently, the National Passing average for drivers is 43%. It is quite tough and you definitely need to be prepared at all times. It is really worth taking all the lessons seriously.

You need to study ‘The Highway Code’ and the AA’s ‘Theory Test’ book.

Be prepared both with practical and theory test. As much as you want to learn how to drive, you also need to learn important facts – make sure you know what to expect with Theory Test and Practical Test.

The Test Cost

The combined theory and hazard perception test currently cost £23.

A weekday practical test costs £62. Evening or weekend tests cost £75.

"Passed my driving test today and I couldn’t have done it if it weren’t for Uncle Joe! He’s truly an amazing teacher! He is very patient and encouraging when he teaches. I feel relaxed when I’m driving with him as he’s great to have conversations with! He also helped to build my confidence in driving and pushed me to be more assertive on the road (which is essentially what I needed). The best thing about Uncle Joe is that he always gives 110% even though he was feeling poorly a few days before my test. He’s a legend."  Read More
