Meet a lovely gentleman called Dr Anthony. Lives in the Levenshulme area of Manchester and works as a medical Doctor. Anthony narrowed down his search to Uncle Joe from the internet. We arranged for a taster session after which we mapped out an action plan. A carefully but well structured packaged was put in place by Uncle Joe this involved planning lessons around Anthony’s work pattern and scheduled holidays. We got off with the lessons taking each lesson to improve and consolidate existing driving skills. Anthony made the desired progress. I would describe Anthony’s lessons as fast paced, productive and progressive in nature. We paused at regular intervals to have reviews and feedback to each other what we thought and felt how the lessons progressed. Anthony was keen to get it right and took on board the reviews which made him improve on his driving skills over time. On the the 4th January 2014 at the West Didsbury Driving Test Centre, Anthony passed his practical driving test on his first attempt making just two minor faults. Joe was a great instructor, from the moment I contacted him he was very professional, although he definitely brings his own unique style to lessons.  It is clear that he tailors his lessons to what his students need, as we very quickly worked out an arrangement that suited my circumstances, and the pace of the lessons were suited to my needs.  In particular, Joe was very flexible in arranging lessons in the early mornings and in the evenings, and often at quite short notice.  I’m glad Joe himself is not an examiner as he misses nothing a student does, and the actual test was a breeze with the preparation that his lessons entailed. Thankfully, his interesting take on humour, and unusual stories ensure there is rarely a dull moment whilst in the car with him.
