Meet a lovely lady outgoing lady called Niamh. Niamh got in touch with Uncle Joe after being let down by her previous instructor two weeks leading to her booked practical test. During our initial taster lesson it became apparently clear there were obvious gaps in Niamh’s driving. It took a while before Niamh came to terms to these shortcomings in her driving as these unsuitable and unsafe habits were not going to be any helpful especially if we were going to attempt the practical test anytime soon. I would describe Niamh’s subsequent lessons as productive in many ways. Each lesson was a step in the right direction, left reverse exercise was a bit of a challenge but we managed to get round the corners not without some interesting conversations. 27th May 2016 at the West Didsbury Driving Test Centre Niamh went on to pass her driving test. Congratulations once again wish you all the best going forward. I could not be any less proud of you. Here is what Niamh has to say about her learning experience with Uncle Joe:
When I first met Joe I thought I knew how to drive, having learnt with a previous instructor. Yet Joe didn’t take my cocky attitude to heart and instead taught me how to be a confident and safe driver and get rid of the bad habits that I’d picked up along the way.
His patient attitude and determination to help each individual student with their stumbling blocks and difficulties is what makes him a brilliant instructor. Even when you feel you’ve done badly, he’s there to pick you up and show you what you did well and how you can improve.
It’s taken me a long time to feel like a safe and confident driver and I truly don’t believe I could have done it without Joe’s help. Even with test day nerves he’s brilliant at staying calm and talking you through everything, and he’s right; you can only take each step as it comes and do your best.
He’s by far one of the best driving instructors around and it’s completely true that you get what you pay for, and with Joe you get excellent teaching and will end up an excellent driver.
Thanks again Joe!
Ps. Will miss driving the Audi!!
