Paul made enquiries about having refresher lessons, a service offered by Uncle Joe to students who have passed their test in the past and have no reason to drive then until their current circumstances needs them to be behind the wheels. This may be as a result of their partners getting tired of chaffering them around, a new job requiring a bit or travel and commuting maybe it may be the case of relocating to new place. Anyway we got off this refresher package with Paul. It was great to see how confidence return to Paul as the lessons came by. The lessons were well paced going from quiet roads around the Didsbury Village to dual carriage ways around and building up to motorway driving.  Paul’s confidence grew steadily and progressively throughout the lessons. Never a dull moment during the lessons. I personally enjoyed the last few lessons which saw Paul abandoning the use on my car and we graduated into his nice sporty mini and we had fun driving on the motorway. Well done to you! I passed my test 8 years ago but due to a combination of factors have not had much need to drive since then. On the few occasions I have I have not had good experiences and over time my confidence had dropped to the point I was actively avoiding driving. Joe clearly identified confidence as my biggest issue and set to work making me feel comfortable and secure driving again. He doesn’t just teach you about the mechanics but the psychology and rhythms of driving. After 6 lessons I was out driving my own car and continue to do so. I would not hesitate to recommend to Joe to anyone be they a first time driver or someone who needs refresher lessons – quite simply he is the best.
